Blokker is outsourcing the processing of returned products to BuyBay. The returns specialist will handle the processing, grading and resale of returned products for Blokker.
Following a tender, Blokker assigned all its online and offline returns processing activities to the Amsterdam-based tech company. It involves 160,000 to 200,000 products a year. "We are very happy with Blokker," says Teun Kraaij, Managing Director at BuyBay. "Also with their motivation for choosing us: we scored high on transparency, on the professionalism of our operation and on pleasant cooperation. Values and areas of expertise that we ourselves also consider important."
Sales of returned products
BuyBay seeks to reduce waste of returned products by selling them to a new owner. The tech company focuses on selling these products, but also offers logistics services, from warehousing to distribution. Besides Blokker, BuyBay works with bol.com, Coolblue and Wehkamp, among others.
Growing in Europe
A year ago, BuyBay received a two million euro grant from the European Commission. The grant falls under the 'Horizon 2020' programme, designed to boost European innovation. The money further strengthened its position in Europe. Germany is now one of the return specialist's main markets.
