Bol.com will also provide online shoppers with their parcels on the same day. The webshop is joining forces with Albert Heijn in same dame delivery. Orders placed on bol.com before noon will be delivered on the same day. can be collected from one of the two hundred participating AH stores by five o'clock at the latest.

Pick up today
The new service is aptly named 'Retrieve Today'. bol.com hopes to remove the barrier of online shopping now that customers have to wait less time for their packages. "We can deliver all the products we have in stock," marketing director Michel Schaeffer told Emerce. That includes products from external sellers, who outsource logistics to bol.com. "The orders are taken from Docdata's warehouse by vans to Albert Heijn's collection points." So Albert Heijn's logistics have nothing to do with bol.com's new service.
Half the customer base
The selected Albert Heijn stores are mainly located in the Randstad, in large towns in the north and south of the Netherlands and in the Antwerp area. This means bol.com serves about half of its customer base. Customers will pay two euros for the new service during the introduction period, but will start paying five euros per order thereafter.
