Logtech company Budbee is expanding into Belgium next quarter. The further rollout in Europe follows after the parcel delivery company raised 52 million euros in an investment round.
Budbee will start in the Flanders and Brussels regions. This will be followed by expansion in Wallonia. Parcels from customers such as MyJewellery and NAKD will be collected in three new hubs in West, Central and East Flanders.
Besides Belgium, fast-growing Budbee operates in the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. There, it delivers for Zalando, Asos, H&M, Flinders and Fonq, among others. The Swedish company works with technology that allows customers to see which vehicle will bring their parcel and allows them to adjust the delivery time until 1pm. As a result, 97 per cent of initial delivery attempts succeed, Budbee claims.
Earlier this year, the logtech company received a capital injection worth 52 million euros. Cargo bikes, electric vehicles, use of green gas and vehicles filled with recycled and vegetable oil should contribute to this.
