Returns specialist BuyBay needs to handle a growing flow of products. The company has therefore quadrupled its storage capacity.

BuyBay's warehouse in Wijchen, near the German border, previously had space for 25,000 products. Still this year, the returns processor aims to grow to a capacity of 100,000 products.

BuyBay tries to combat waste of return products by selling them to a new owner - products that are no longer completely new, for example because they have been out of packaging. The tech company focuses on selling these products, but also offers logistics services, from storage to distribution. BuyBay works with bol.com, Coolblue and Wehkamp, among others.

A year ago, BuyBay received two million euros in funding from the European Commission. The grant falls under the 'Horizon 2020' programme, designed to boost European innovation. The money further strengthened its position in Europe. Germany is now one of the return specialist's main markets.
