Logistics service provider C.H. Robinson is acquiring its Italian competitor Dema Service. With a second acquisition in six months, the company is working hard to expand its global network.

C.H. Robinson, which with 15,000 employees is among the largest logistics service providers in the world, bought Dema Service last week. The Italian company provides European road transport, employs 100 people and operates from three locations in Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic. "The acquisition of Dema Service is a milestone for C.H. Robinson and will strengthen our existing presence in Italy, one of the largest road transport markets in Europe," said Jeroen Eijsink, President Europe at C.H. Robinson.

The move marks the second European acquisition by C.H. Robinson in six months. It recently bought Space Cargo, expanding the logistics provider's presence in Spain and Colombia.
