Collective bargaining for professional freight transport has been temporarily paused due to the corona crisis. In an emergency consultation, employer and employee organisations decided that the focus should be on getting through the crisis for the time being.

The decision means that the current collective labour agreement with the wage scales and regulations mentioned in it will remain in place until new agreements are reached. Those new agreements cannot be reached until it is clear what measures the government will come up with to support companies and industries at this time, evofenedex said. It is not yet known when negotiations will resume.

Employer and employee organisations such as Transport en Logistiek Nederland (TLN), FNV Transport & Logistiek, CNV Vakmensen and evofenedex say they are currently focusing attention on providing companies with tools to get through the crisis. For example, with the mobility centre of the Transport and Logistics Sector Institute (STL). Through this tool, companies can borrow and lend personnel and equipment collegially. Other initiatives to support entrepreneurs are still under development.
