Carriers have their work cut out for them, as the
number of complaints about late deliveries is skyrocketing. If we are to believe the figures from
Thuiswinkel.org, online shops and delivery companies are failing to meet
consumers’ expectations.
Online shoppers can submit their complaints about online retailers to the trade association
Thuiswinkel.org. The organisation
received no fewer than 399 complaints in March 2015; last year, the figure was
177.
It is striking that the complaints mainly focus on late, or no delivery. This accounted for a whopping 40 per cent of reports in March. This could be due to a the merchant, but of course the carrier also has a big role to play here. What do you think? Should we start delivering faster? Or is the problem mainly with communication to the customer?
