Coolblue will make an IPO before the end of this month. The company is currently sitting down with potential new shareholders. The proceeds should enable further expansion in Germany, for example.

According to the FD, the company wants to take 20 to 30 per cent of its shares public. The valuation is estimated at 3 to 4 billion euros, with peaks of up to 6 billion.

According to founder Pieter Zwart, this is a logical step in the company's future. The financial boost should be used for growth in the Netherlands and Belgium. "Think about mechanising our warehouse or possibly expanding the number of shops and depots," Zwart told NOS. In addition, the amount should finance further geographical growth. For example, in Germany, where Coolblue has been delivering since last year, further infrastructure is needed to expand the delivery area.
