Things are going well for webshop Coolblue. The online chain saw its sales grow by 54 per cent to 555 million euros. The etailer is therefore looking hard for new staff. Next year, Coolblue will hire as many as 1,000 new people, including many logistics staff.

Coolblue not only welcomed many new customers, but also managed to book more sales from paid customers. That is what Coolblue boss Pieter Zwart explains in the video below. Currently, the webshop employs 1,500 people. So that should be 1,000 more in 2016. The first 80 people for this year have already been hired. In logistics, there are now 4 vacancies open at Coolblue, but more will be added in the coming months. Last year, 578 recruited new staff.

Physical shops
Coolblue now operates more than 300 webshops. That should become even more in 2016. The number of physical shops will also be expanded next year. The etail giant already has seven shops in the Netherlands, where customers can buy and collect products. Two more will be added this year. It is still unclear which cities Coolblue has in mind for these.
