Coop is going to deliver online orders from hubs. The supermarket chain is working with partner Telesuper on a logistics hub structure for grocery delivery.

At the presentation of its annual figures, Coop claims to be making considerable headway online. The mass retailer did not mention exact amounts, but let it be known that the online branch grew twice as fast as the home delivery market. In 2019, 50 per cent of customers ordered via Coop's ordering app, compared to 30 per cent in 2018.

Due to this growth, Coop is forced to set up a new logistics structure for e-commerce. The supermarket chain is doing so together with partner Telesuper, which it has co-owned since 2018. Telesuper operates as an online supermarket for the business market. The company delivers groceries to healthcare institutions, childcare centres and corporate catering via a finely-meshed distribution network.
