DACHSER has won the German CSR award in the 'Social Commitment' category. The logistics service provider received the award for its cooperation with child aid organisation Terre des Hommes.
The CSR Award was presented to DACHSER by the CSR Forum. DACHSER has been working with Terre des Hommes in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh since 2005. The project aims to protect children's rights, improve access to education and vocational training, and ensure the conservation of natural resources. In 2017, the two parties launched their first youth exchange project. Five young people from Germany went to the project areas in Uttar Pradesh. In return, five young people from India came to Germany, where they participated in a week of events organised by DACHSER, Terre des Hommes and the city of Kempten.
Terre des Hommes and DACHSER launched a second project shortly afterwards. The aim of this project is to bring together Young Professionals from DACHSER, students from the Terre des Hommes network and a group of young people from Livingstone (Zambia).
