Decathlon is going to collaborate with Homerr in the field of returns. Consumers who want to return something can drop off their parcels at Homerr's parcel collection and drop-off points, after which they will be picked up by vans that are already driving through the streets anyway.

Homerr's network consists of over 1,600 neighbourhood and service points. Neighbourhood points are private individuals who are at home at regular times. Service points are shops or restaurants with longer opening hours. Consumers choose in the online shop to have a parcel delivered to one of these points. In Decathlon's case, this will soon also apply to returns. Customers of the sports retailer can return their parcels via Homerr points.

These packages hitch a ride on vans that are on the road anyway, so to speak. By doing so, Decathlon and Homerr say they save a lot of CO2 emissions. Moreover, it is a print-free return option.

Homerr founder Juriaan Matthijssen: "We see that consumers nowadays demand more than free returns and next-day delivery. They are becoming more aware of the impact of their online purchases. There is a lot of demand for sustainable alternatives. By offering Homerr as a free and print-free return option, we also make it very easy for them in the process."
