Logistics service provider Dynalogic is going to deliver parcels ordered on Sunday the same day. "We are responding to market needs with this," the company said.
Dynalogic handles logistics for Bax-shop.nl, Coolblue, Greetz and Nespresso, among others. Customers of these retailers may receive their parcel ordered on Sunday on the mat on the same day. "The distinction between working days and weekend days will disappear. If required, we will also deliver early Sunday morning to web shoppers, for example. We are working on making the time slots on that day smaller and we also want to offer two-man delivery on Sundays," says business development manager Edwin Kersbergen.
Same day delivery
Dynalogic has already mastered the art of same-day delivery. The company started same-day delivery about four years ago. For instance, Nespresso customers can use the service 'Nespresso Your Time'. At Coolblue, the service is called 'TodayNow'. The cost for this service was reduced from 17.95 euros to 9.95 euros at the beginning of this year.
Party still unknown
Dynalogic does not yet want to disclose with whom it will test same-day delivery on Sundays. Nor has it yet determined how much consumers will pay for the Sunday service.
