Shippers' organisation EVO will be looking for the best vertical cooperation from January 2017. Companies that have worked well together stand a chance of winning the 2017 Chain Award.
With the Chain Award, EVO wants to inspire companies to cooperate more. After all, according to the organisation, this is the key to success in logistics business processes, for both large and small companies. But that is easier said than done, argues Professor Jack van der Veen, holder of the EVO Chair in Supply Chain Management at Nyenrode Business University. "From defining good, vertical cooperation to sharing challenges - practice proves more recalcitrant than theory," says Van der Veen.
Companies that are part of a good chain cooperation can apply. They will receive a questionnaire in January, which the jury, headed by Van der Veen, will assess. The Keten Award 2017 will be presented on 7 June during the SCM Summit.
