Flower auction Royal FloraHolland is introducing a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) at its export locations at the end of this month. First up is the Naaldwijk location, followed by Rijnsburg and Aalsmeer.

The implementation of a new WMS is part of the standardisation of FloraHolland's logistics processes, writes Nieuweoogst.nl. The new system will give FloraHolland digital insight into where trolleys are in the logistics process and where service is needed.

FloraHolland will enforce supply regulations more strictly because of the new WMS. The auction will register all deviations and repair actions digitally. Because these extra actions cost time and money, the growers involved have to pay for them.
