Fonq will now have smaller parcels delivered by Swedish company Budbee. With the new collaboration, the furniture retailer hopes to guarantee customer-friendly delivery even in busy times.

Fonq has been busy since the COVID-19 outbreak. By working with Budbee, which deploys smart technology for delivery, Fonq is aiming for a high service level even during peak periods.

Budbee was founded in 2016 and made its appearance in the Netherlands in 2019. It calls itself a software company, which ensures that the first delivery attempt succeeds in a number of ways. For instance, using smart technology, Budbee keeps track of exactly where the engaged carrier is at that moment. Consumers have real-time insight into the location of their order. Delivery only takes place in the evening, to increase the probability that the customer is home at that time.

Fonq is not the first major party to bring in Budbee. Zalando, Asos, My Jewellery and Flinders also joined forces with the Swedish carrier this year. Besides Sweden and the Netherlands, Budbee operates in Denmark and Finland.
