The jury of the Safest Warehouse Award has nominated three companies: Timberland Europe (Almelo), Bressers Metaal (Tilburg) and DSM Protective Materials (Heerlen) are in with a chance of winning the title.
During the Safe Warehouse Day, on Wednesday 16 March 2022, they will hear whether they will receive gold, silver or bronze. The jury will distinguish between large warehouses - with more than 25 employees - and small warehouses - with 25 warehouse employees or less. DSM Protective Materials is the only nominee in the latter category.
Due to corona measures, the election was cancelled last year. Due to the great importance of safety, the jury has reopened the entry this year. "Especially now that the economy is at full speed and warehouses sometimes have more work than they can handle, it is important to keep working safely. In a safe warehouse, all employees go home healthy at the end of their working day to enjoy working again the next day. But a safe warehouse also means that goods reach their final destination without damage and without disruptions in the logistics process," a press release reads.
Safest Warehouse Award 2021
The Safest Warehouse Award is being presented for the fifteenth time. In addition to a certificate, the prize also includes a sum of money intended to further strengthen the safety culture in the warehouse.
Safe Warehouse Day
The results of the Safest Warehouse Award 2021 will be announced during the Safe Warehouse Day. This event, also organised by BMWT, entrepreneurs' association for international trade and logistics evofenedex and Tempo-Team, will take place on Wednesday 16 March 2022.
