Hoogvliet will start delivering online orders via an electric tuktuk in January. The supermarket chain has had an online shop since last year, but does not deliver orders so far. Shoppers can collect their orders from Hoogvliet shops. From 2015, the low-noise tuktuk will deliver these orders. It would mainly be refrigerated and frozen items.
Customers can choose a fixed time block for delivery on the online shop. Payment can be made by debit card. For now, this is a trial in a yet to be determined city. Rates for the service have also not yet been announced.
