It was not only raining awards during the Logistic Manager of the Year election; there was also plenty of knowledge sharing and getting to know fellow professionals. An impression of the day in fourteen images.

Chairman of the day Jan Dirk Stouten welcomed the attendees before calling the candidates onto the stage.

This year's jury was formed by Duco Buijze (Lineage Logistics), Cosmas Hoefnagels (Consafe Logistics Benelux), Raymond Cools (Pondres Direct Mail), Sander de Leeuw (VU) and Myrthe Marechal (NS).

The finalists Young Logistics Talent, Nick Vreeswijk, Joris Teurlings and Slabbekoorn kicked off the day.

Then it was the turn of finalists Gerhard Kolk, Job Sonke and Erik van Wunnik.

Nick Vreeswijk, operations manager at Fietskoeriers.nl, is voted Young Logistics Talent. "Nick has been able to connect people," said jury chairman Sander de Leeuw.

Job Sonke, logistics manager at Hollister Inc. is Logistics Manager of the Year. "Job is a logistics manager, but actually much more than that," the judges' comments read. "He set up a whole new distribution centre and moved the entire operation a few years later. The fact that all the staff went with him to the new location says enough about Job's attention to the human factor."
