On 12 October, Jong Logistiek Nederland (JLN) is organising its ninth annual conference. This year's theme: 'Developing our sustainable future together'. The conference will look at how sustainability can be made tangible.
Based on five of the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, JLN will take visitors into the world of sustainability. It will answer questions such as: how can you make sustainabilty tangible? What challenges are there in the logistics labour market? And: what can we ourselves do to live, work and work more sustainably?
Workshops and successful business examples should answer those questions.Damir Perkic of BE O Bottles will talk about a water bottle made from residual sugar cane material, Berry van Woerkom of supermarket chain Lidl will talk about making logistics processes more sustainable and floor and carpet supplier Tarkett will explain how the company has made its production process completely circular. Florian Dirkse, co-founder of the Ocean Clean-up will close the day with a lecture.
During the Annual Conference, the JLN Awards will also be presented. There is an award for the Logistics Guru, the best Logistics Company and for the JLN Person of the Year. Voting is possible until 10 October via the JLN website.
