Jumbo is going to deliver groceries in Groningen within 45 minutes. To do so, it works together with meal delivery company FoodDrop.
This week, Jumbo started with one branch in Groningen, a Jumbo City. From this branch, groceries are delivered within a 2.5-kilometre radius. FoodDrop already delivered meals for the Jumbo City in Groningen. The expansion with groceries is in line with Jumbo's omnichannel strategy.
Jumbo customers can choose from a limited range online. For example, no crates of beer will be delivered. Because of the fast service, the prices of products are also higher than regular shop prices.
