Following a trial in Groningen, Jumbo will now also deliver freshly prepared meals in Amsterdam and Utrecht. To do so, the supermarket chain works together with Thuisbezorgd.nl.
In Groningen, Jumbo has been delivering meals at home since August. According to CEO Ton van Veen, this test proved successful. As from February, meal delivery will be extended to Amsterdam and Utrecht.
Jumbo chefs will prepare the meals in Jumbo City stores, in Amsterdam on Ferdinand Bolstraat and in Utrecht near Hoog Catharijne. Couriers from Thuisbezorgd.nl bring the orders to customers by e-bike.
