Gelderland brings logistics companies together during corona crisis. Logistics Valley, a logistics cooperation initiative from that province, has set up a website to support entrepreneurs during the corona crisis, linking companies from the region and supporting them to continue their businesses free of charge.

Logistics Valley is a partnership between entrepreneurs, government and knowledge centres from Gelderland. The initiative is divided into three logistics hotspots: region Rivierenland, region Nijmegen and region Liemers Achterhoek. The current crisis period is causing "frenzy, uncertainty and questions" among companies in those regions, according to Logistics Valley. "We want to support our entrepreneurs in this as best we can with the resources we have."

Through the Logistics Valley Helps website, demand and supply of personnel and resources in the region are linked. This option is also offered on a national level, by the Transport and Logistics Sector Institute, but a regional alternative is desirable, according to Logistics Valley. "In this day and age, you still like to work with companies from your own familiar region."

Companies can also go there for information and may deposit issues about the continuation of their business. Logistics Valley then connects these entrepreneurs with the right parties.

The consortium says it is pleading with the province of Gelderland for support measures that entrepreneurs in Logistics Valley desperately need now.
