Mainfreight in 's-Heerenberg has won the Well-safe Awardin the transport and logistics category. The logistics service provider was presented with the award by industry organisation Transport en Logistiek for its focus on safety for drivers.
Mainfreight has taken a package of measures to increase safety. For example, Maarten de Graauw, risk manager at Mainfreight, regularly consults with the TLN Security Task Force and the police on the safety of transport and drivers. Also, all trucks are secured and drivers are informed about safe rest areas.

Week of Safety
The Well-Safe Awards are presented annually during the Week of Safety, organised by the Ministry of Justice and Security and various industry organisations, and will take place this year from 8 to 14 October.
