Logistics organisations sharing controlled data with each other, even if they don't know each other. That is the idea behind iSHARE, an initiative from the Top Sector Logistics. At trade fair ICT & Logistiek, the initiators hope to grow the iSHARE community. Mariane ter Veen, iSHARE project manager, explains.

"The Top Sector Logistics launched the iSHARE project in 2016. Over two years, more than 20 public and private parties in logistics have jointly developed uniform agreements for identification, authentication and authorisation.
At the heart of iSHARE is the creation of a ring of trust: organisations working according to iSHARE agreements can share data barrier-free. Simple, uniform and controlled. The sector could do with such an innovation. Especially since many companies are still reluctant to share data with other organisations."
The fair as a benchmark
"In November, we will be at ICT & Logistiek for the third time. We look back on successful trade fair participations. In the first year, we were looking for partners to realise the project with. That succeeded. The second year, we wanted to show what we had created. That too succeeded. Especially in these times, when everyone receives information through so many channels, we see the fair as a nice platform of significance in the world of ICT & Logistics. For visitors, the fair forms a benchmark in the year: what is new, what is coming up? That includes iSHARE."
Creating reach with launching customers
"This year, we are using ICT & Logistics more as a platform. We want to make the community bigger. We will be at the fair with iSHARE partners and launching customers, all of whom will propagate what iSHARE adds value for them. By involving our launching customers, we are creating a huge reach. Also in the run-up to the fair. Moreover, you increase visitors' confidence. Along the lines of: 'If they commit to it, it will be good'."
Theatre and news
"We have our own theatre on the stand. Here you can attend sessions from iSHARE itself and from our partners. Our partners are happy to cooperate with this. Because with iSHARE they do not need costly and time-consuming integrations to share data, can share data with hitherto unknown parties and at the same time keep full control over their own data, they serve their customers better. Their logistics processes are more efficient, they have a better time to market etcetera.
We also make sure we always have something new to announce at the fair. Last year, we introduced live transactions. I can't reveal the content yet, but we have news this year too! That's how you create urgency at your stand. You capitalise on that: before, during and after the fair. "
