Red je Pakketje will take over the name from parent company Instabox from 2022. The name change marks the amalgamation between the two companies.

Earlier this year, Red je Pakketje was acquired by Sweden's Instabox. According to the company, the name change is a logical step. Sam Rohn, general manager of Instabox Benelux (previously CEO at Red je Pakketje), says: " Both companies have a lot in common. We put the consumer first and make our decisions based on that. Furthermore, Red je Pakketje and Instabox treat our people and the environment in the same responsible way. Now that the technical hurdles have also been cleared, we are ready for full integration within Instabox. And we look forward to moving forward as one."

4,000 parcel safes

Instabox has been placing automated parcel lockers in the Netherlands since the beginning of this year, a service that is still in its infancy in the Netherlands. In Scandinavian countries, Instabox has already gained a lot of experience with parcel safes. Over the next two years, the company will place at least 4,000 businesses in the Netherlands.

Rohn: "In the near future, it will be crucial for any modern webshop to let consumers choose how an order is delivered. We believe both home delivery and parcel lockers will claim a big role. Moreover, consumers are getting used to good service and flexibility. That is why with us, you can still change your delivery option while your parcel is already on its way. So we are happy to bring together the best services in one brand."
