Turnover growth in the transport and logistics sector continues. However, the tightness of the labour market is hampering many entrepreneurs in their business operations.

This is according to the Transport and Logistics Sector Monitor. The report monitors quarterly labour market developments of employees and employers affiliated to SOOB/Pension Fund Transport.

Companies in professional road haulage and logistics services are still seeing growth in turnover. The number of bankruptcies is low, and the sector now has 150,000 employees.

However, the number of vacancies remains high and the labour market is tight. According to the Transport and Logistics Sector Institute, many entrepreneurs are suffering from the shortage of personnel. Partly as a result, entrepreneurs expect a decline in turnover and activity in the coming months.
