Customers of online supermarket Picnic can track the order they have placed with the company up to the minute from this week. Picnic on Wednesday launched a shopping radar that makes this possible. The new service allows customers to know exactly when their order will be delivered.
Customers of the online supermarket app can track the order in real time and thus know exactly where the delivery driver is driving and when he or she will be at the door.
Accurate
Before the app was launched, customers received a message on their mobile phones. As a result, they knew in which half-hour the groceries were delivered. This could be more accurate, many customers thought, which set Picnic to work. The grocery radar was the final product. In addition, all deliverers were given a short profile so customers knew who was coming to the door to deliver the order.
Growth Picnic
Picnic is growing like crazy. The company recently welcomed its 6,000th customer in Amersfoort. The online supermarket now delivers groceries to a thousand households in Leusden. Picnic's turnover is already five times higher than its founders had expected.
The company recently announced that the service will be expanded to other Dutch cities this summer. The first cities that can also use the service are Almere, Apeldoorn and Utrecht. Only when these cities are running well, Picnic plans to look further and enter other cities as well.
