Picnic is starting a trial of delivery to business customers. Businesses in Leiden, Zoetermeer and Hoofddorp can have their groceries brought to the office in the morning.
From today, businesses can order via Picnic's app. To do so, they need to create a business account. This account allows multiple users, so colleagues can add groceries to the order. Groceries ordered before 1pm will be delivered the next day between 9am and 1pm.
According to founder Michiel Muller, there was a lot of demand for Picnic from businesses. However, these customers wanted their groceries delivered in the morning, while Picnic mainly hits the road at the end of the day.
The online supermarket says it wants to gain experience with the service first before rolling it out nationwide.
