Primark is looking for 150 new employees for its distribution centre in Roosendaal. Primark is particularly in demand for reach truck drivers, all-round order pickers and loaders/unloaders. DSV Solutions will run the logistics centre.
Clothing and accessories of the fashion giant are brought from the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp to the distribution centre at business park Borchwerf II in Oud Gastel near Roosendaal. From there, the stock goes to Primark shops in the Benelux and France.
Randstad is responsible for hiring the 150 new employees. "The available vacancies can be divided into reach truck drivers, all-round order pickers and loader/unloaders, both full-time and part-time. They involve day and shift work from Monday to Saturday," the temporary employment agency writes in a press release.
Primark started construction of the mega-DC last year at a cost of €26 million. Logistics Capital Partners (LCP) is developing the new distribution centre on a 16-hectare plot. The first section, of almost six hectares and twenty metres high was completed this summer. Another three hectares of twenty metres high will be added later.
