Parcel service Red je Pakketje has rigged up a flower delivery service within 24 hours. Together with Dutch growers, EY and flower delivery service Frederique's Choice, Red je Boeketje has been set up, a campaign to give isolated elderly people a boost while providing growers with income.

Flowers are not being exported due to the corona crisis, creating a huge surplus. "You can store toilet rolls well, but you can't store flowers. 'Save your Bouquet' is therefore the spontaneous action to give the elderly of the Netherlands a heart to heart. AND we help the hard-working growers through the crisis," can be read on the website of Save your Bouquet.

For 15 euros, consumers can donate a bouquet to one of 120,000 elderly people in care homes, including a personal message. Optionally, donors can also choose who they want to send a bouquet to.
