Red je Pakketje is launching a new delivery service for smaller webshops: EveningBezorgd. The new service allows webshops to offer same day or next day delivery from as little as one parcel.
Webshops using VanavondBezorgd have to deliver their parcels themselves at a drop-off point nearby. If this happens before 13:00, Red je Pakketje will deliver the parcel to the consumer that same evening. Red je Pakketje currently has sixty such drop-off points in the Netherlands. By the end of this year, there should be two hundred.
By delivering the parcels themselves at a drop-off point, web shops can take orders until 23:59 and deliver them the next day, states Red je Pakketje. An additional advantage is that web shops can pack parcels the next morning, instead of deep into the night.
"In recent years, the distance between large and small webshops has been growing," says CEO Sam Rohn. "We want to give small webshops a new chance by helping them to offer the same propositions as the big webshops. With this, we hope to make the e-commerce market more democratic."
VanavondBezorgd customers can use Red je Pakketje's customer service, making it possible, for example, to change addresses while a parcel is already in transit.
