Rhenus has acquired 15 per cent of Geopost's shares in French logistics service provider C Chez Vous with effect from 28 June 2024. Geopost will retain 80 per cent of the shares. With this transaction, Rhenus enters the French home delivery market for the first time. This new structure, facilitated by Geopost, will allow C Chez Vous to benefit from the expertise and contributions of Rhenus' position as European leader in logistics for home and interior goods.
The transaction was signed at Geopost's headquarters in Paris on 28 June 2024 by Yves Delmas, CEO of Geopost, Dr Stephan Peters, member of the Rhenus Group Board of Directors, Rubén Ruiz, CEO Overland Transport and Nils Thiesen and Pedro López, co-managing directors of Rhenus. This transaction provides a further strengthened presence for Rhenus in Europe and now offers its home delivery customers access to 15 European countries.
Logical step
"Entering the French home delivery market is a logical step to expand Rhenus' presence in Europe. There are nearly 70 million potential customers in France. As part of C Chez Vous, we want to capitalise on this. We also aim to develop a standardised European home delivery product. Thanks to a clear product definition, standardised intermediate stations and availability, we can serve our increasing number of European customers even better," said Dr Stephan Peters, member of the Rhenus Group Executive Board.

C Chez Vous was founded in 2008. Geopost acquired a majority stake in 2022. With an annual delivery volume of 1.4 million, 400 collection points and six countries where goods are delivered, C Chez Vous is one of the leading French logistics service providers. The company specialises in the delivery of goods over 30 kilograms to the point of use. The company now operates under the C Chez Vous brand, powered by Geopost & Rhenus.
