Car manufacturer Seat deploys a drone to transport parts between two factories. The drone brings steering wheels and airbags from the logistics centre to Seat's assembly line.

The warehouse in Catalonia's Arbera is two kilometres away from the factory in martorell. Transport by drone is a lot more efficient, according to the Spanish company. Within 15 minutes, the distance can be covered. By truck, according to Seat, delivery would take ninety minutes.

At 1.7 metres in diameter, the drone is relatively large. The unmanned aircraft can reach a speed of 40 kilometres per hour. The cargo is packed in a carbon-fibre capsule and attached to the drone with a magnet.
