Shipping platform Sendcloud has secured 150 million euros in growth capital. The Eindhoven-based company is using the investment to accelerate growth. Next year, it wants to recruit 250 employees.
Sendcloud says the parcel market will grow to €501 billion in 2024 (up from €403 billion in 2021). The shipping platform wants to move with that growth. "Sendcloud will use this investment to accelerate its international growth and drive global adoption of the platform," it sounds. Sendcloud currently employs 400 people, with another 250 to be added in the coming year.
Sendcloud acts as a smart link between webshops and delivery services. The Eindhoven-based company offers web shops with a link direct access to all major European carriers and various delivery options, from international shipping to parcel locker delivery. In addition, the platform offers access to 400,000 service points, so consumers can pick up their parcels themselves. More than 23,000 online shops are now connected to Sendcloud.
Sendcloud received the investment in a Series C funding round led by Softbank Vision fund 2.
