Unemployed drivers and logistics staff can now fund the training they are required to attend with a subsidy. The 'Subsidy for Maintaining Professional Competence' is specially designed for compulsory training in the Transport and Logistics sector, so that the unemployed are immediately employable for new employers.

Subsidy scheme existed before, but then the condition was that the jobseeker worked at a SOOB affiliated company before losing his job. This condition no longer applies now. Drivers and logistics workers who missed out on subsidies in the past because of this can now still apply. The Transport and Logistics Sector Institute has now approached everyone who was previously rejected on the basis of this condition.
