Two people were detained on Tuesday for the robbery at the bol.com distribution centre in Waalwijk, over a year and a half ago. According to police, they are a 24-year-old man from Lelystad and a 26-year-old man from Vught.
In July 2020, two robbers forced their way into bol.com's DC, where they overpowered two security guards who were only able to raise the alarm hours later. The perpetrators managed to take a "considerable amount" of items in a truck. Several other bol.com employees were present in the building on Pakketweg that day. They got nothing from the robbery.
Unknown is how police tracked down the perpetrators a year and a half later. A small, changing team of detectives reportedly latched onto the case, police reported. At least four perpetrators were behind the robbery; two other suspects are still being sought.
