Meal delivery company Uber Eats is expanding its delivery area to Leiden. It is the third city in a month that Uber Eats adds to its portfolio.

Customers in Leiden can place an order with the delivery service between 11am and 11pm. A bicycle courier then delivers meals from connected restaurants to the front door. "We saw that the app was already frequently opened in this city, whereas until now it was not possible to order," says Aukeline Tolman, general manager Uber Eats Netherlands about the expansion to Leiden.

Last month, Uber Eats launched in Delft and Rijswijk. Several more cities may follow this year. At the Webwinkel Vakdagen, Uber Eats already revealed that the introduction of payment method iDeal has given the app a considerable boost in the Netherlands.
