Technology has a profound impact on the role of the logistics manager. What knowledge and skills should the logistics manager 4.0 possess? The content programme of Logistic Manager the Year answers that question with inspiring sessions and practical insights.
The three managers and the three talents who made it to the final of Logistic Manager of the Year know how to handle their renewed role extremely well. On 28 March, they will have the chance to convince the five-member jury of their right to the title of Logistics Manager of the Year (LMhvJ) and Young Logistics Talent (JLT).
Programme contents
Visitors will also be prepared for the new role of the logistics manager on 28 March. The final day offers a packed programme of content, with themes such as robotisation, digitalisation and innovation. Some of the sessions include:
The combination between humans and robots
By: Herbert ten Have, Fizyr
Whether robotisation is really a good solution depends on several factors. One important factor is humans and their indispensable characteristics. During this session, we will look at which way(s) the human and robot reinforce each other the most.
The psychological aspects behind collaboration
By: Ilja van Beest, Tilburg University
In the new logistics world, cooperation is a must. But how do you start a collaboration, how do you act as a logistics or supply chain manager and how do you maintain the relationship? In this session, you will get the chance to learn about the principles and psychological aspects behind collaboration.
A fuck up session on leadership
By: Johan Kerver, evofenedex
Mistakes, everyone makes them, but you don't hear anyone about them. And that while you can learn so much about them. This seminar aims to create more openness about what goes wrong and mistakes made in the past. A session full of managerial flops, fiascos and flops led by a moderator.
Innovative ways to deal with labour market tightness
By: Steven Gudde, Olympia
Labour market tightness is a challenge we cannot ignore. During this session, we will start by sharing innovative ideas to solve labour market tightness. An overview of all the ideas that have passed the revue, both inside and outside logistics. Then there will be room for discussion on whether the ideas fit within the logistics sector and the degree of applicability and opportunities.
Keynote speaker: Annemarie van Gaal
Sometimes the best opportunities lie off the beaten track. As an entrepreneur at heart, Annemarie van Gaal is constantly looking at new applications, new revenue models and new ways of organising in all sectors. Some ideas are applicable one-to-one in the logistics world, others are at least worth thinking about.
