After a successful pilot, Zalando and Homerr officially enter into a cooperation agreement. Dutch Zalando customers can now choose to return their parcels via HomerrPoints. There are now 1,500 of these in the Netherlands.

By collaborating with the Dutch company, Zalando hopes to reduce the distances to the delivery point. Consumers can deliver their returns here for free, after which they will be bundled and transported over existing routes.

Juriaan Matthijssen, co-founder and Managing Director at Homerr is pleased to see the collaboration with Zalando continue: "We received a lot of positive feedback from customers, especially about the convenience of our return option (location and opening hours) and because they prefer to return their package in a more sustainable way. During the pandemic, we clearly saw that an increasing number of customers want to make more sustainable choices, leading to a 33 per cent growth in our Neighbourhood Points in recent months."

Homerr enables individuals and entrepreneurs to act as pick-up and delivery points. Some 600 HomerrPoints are now run by individuals, with opening hours from 4pm to 8pm. They receive a monthly fee for their work.
