Zetes invests in Autonomous Mobile Robots from Robotize
Brussels - 22 October 2024 - Zetes, a leading specialist in supply chain execution solutions that is part of the Panasonic Group, has invested in Robotize, a Danish robotics company known for its advanced Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).
With this investment, Zetes acquires a 50% stake in Robotize, while the original founders also retain a stake. This strategic move enables Zetes to design and develop complete solutions and respond to the demand for higher efficiency in the logistics sector, which is facing major challenges such as labour shortages.
A shared vision: empowering people in the workplace
Robotize, founded in 2016 in Lyngby, Denmark, has quickly become a trusted partner in various industries, including food and beverage, heavy machinery and cleaning equipment. Robotize specialises in developing autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) designed for safe, reliable and automated material handling in production and logistics environments. Their solutions are known to be scalable, reliable and user-friendly, making them the perfect complement to Zetes' Collaborative Supply Chain suite.
With their team of specialists in mechanics, electronics and especially software, Zetes and Robotize will develop innovative solutions that combine advanced applications for mobility, safety and supply chain execution. This will ensure greater efficiency and productivity in logistics operations, while improving overall employee utilisation and addressing growing challenges such as staff shortages.
Values and ambitions aligned
Zetes' investment in Robotize was a logical step, as both companies share the same mission: to provide value-added solutions that enhance, but do not replace, human skills
Pierre Lambert, CEO of Zetes, commented, "We are excited about our new investment in Robotize. Both our companies are driven by the same values: delivering top-quality solutions that empower our customers and improve their service quality. This also aligns perfectly with the values of our parent company Panasonic. Together, we will develop complete solutions that improve internal logistics operations and respond to the changing needs of our customers."
Anders Pjetursson, CEO of Robotize, shared this enthusiasm: "The collaboration with Zetes opens up new opportunities for us, as our first successful projects have already shown. Zetes' impressive customer portfolio provides the ideal basis to expand our capabilities, as our specialised AMRs are a perfect fit for Zetes' high-end business applications."
