AB Texel Group has acquired its Belgian counterpart Transport Impens. As a result, the transport company continues to focus on transporting agricultural products in Belgium and France.

Transport Impens is a family business specialising in the transport of bulk products, both agricultural and industrial. It also transports pelleted general cargo and goods in big bags and crates. The company drives daily in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, countries where the AB Texel Group also transports loose agricultural products.

The two companies have been working together for several years. "We largely drive for the same customers," says Dennis Wetenkamp, managing director of AB Texel Group. With the takeover, AB Texel Group wants to strengthen its network in Belgium and France. "Countries where there are growth opportunities for us."

"We are a family business and stand for professional and personal service," said Dirk Impens, director and owner of Transport Impens. "We recognise this at AB, despite the size of the company. It is time for me to step down. To secure the future of Transport Impens, the takeover by AB is a logical and reassuring step for me. Both in terms of our employees and customers."
