Now that DHL has not responded to employees' ultimatum to come up with a good collective agreement proposal, actions are inevitable. CNV Vakmensen argues that. The union predicts that the first actions will take place after this weekend.

The unions have been negotiating a new collective agreement with DHL Express for some time. The old collective agreement expired a year and a half ago. A new offer from DHL was rejected by union members. According to CNV, it was a 'substandard final offer', especially now that shareholders are benefiting from the company's favourable performance. The unions demanded 2.5 per cent wage increase and a one-off payment of 300 euros. "The collective agreement of parcel service DHL Express should also bring profits for employees. The company has weathered the crisis brilliantly. That must now benefit the people responsible for that success, the employees," CNV said in a statement.

Actions after ultimatum expires
Last week, the unions gave DHL an ultimatum, which expired at noon this afternoon. "Now that DHL Express has not responded to the ultimatum, the director wants to set the course of actions in consultation with the members. The first movements in this will be made after the weekend," said CNV Trade Union negotiator Agostino di Giacomo Russo.
