Action is moving into a distribution centre near Toulouse in France. The discounter is leasing the centre from property investor WDP for a period of twelve years.

WDP is investing €27 million in the newly built warehouse, which is tailor-made for Action. The logistics centre has an area of 44,000 square metres. Action will move into the building in February 2018. From the new location, the retailer plans to supply its shops in southern France.

Action currently has five European distribution centres, including two in the Netherlands, and in June it opened its first distribution centre in Germany. From this DC, it will supply stores in Germany, Austria and part of France. In France, Action has had a distribution centre under Paris since 2015, with an area of 70,000 square metres.

This is not the first time Action has partnered with WDP. The company has been renting a distribution centre in Echt, Limburg, from WDP since 2014.
