Albert Heijn is offering a new delivery service in Rotterdam, called Rappie. The supermarket promises to deliver to your home within two hours with the new service.

De Telegraaf reports. Albert Heijn initially wants to gauge whether there is a need for the service and is therefore introducing it on a small scale. Four Rotterdam branches of the supermarket chain are working together with the start-up Subberbuddy for this purpose. This platform provides a personal buddy who delivers the groceries at home. SuperBuddy's courier receives a shopping list and delivers the products within two hours. SuperBuddy applies a minimum order amount of 10 euros and charges 5 euros for delivery.

In Zwolle and Utrecht, Albert Heijn already works with SuperBuddy. In Rotterdam, however, this is an exclusive collaboration and integration into Albert Heijn's online platform. "We chose SuperBuddy because this company has a well-developed technical platform, so that if it proves successful we can scale up," a spokesperson told the newspaper.
