Online giant Amazon wants to tap into the Dutch market with the introduction of subscription service Amazon Prime. Dutch consumers who become subscribers will enjoy free delivery, free video streaming and access to video game platform Twitch Prime.

Amazon Prime was launched today in the Netherlands, Flanders and Luxembourg. Consumers who want to subscribe to Amazon Prime come to a translated version of Amazon's German website, where payment can recently be made with iDeal. Amazon Prime temporarily costs 3.99 per month. On one million products, Dutch consumers get next-day delivery. Another million products are delivered within two days. Delivery is done from warehouses in Germany.

Prime subscribers will also get access to streaming service Prime Video and Twitch Prime - a social video platform for video games -, access to discount Prime Day and free cloud storage of up to five gigabytes.

Amazon currently offers the Prime service in 13 markets, including five European countries.
