Amazon wants to open thirteen hundred logistics hubs in Europe. From the small distribution centres near major cities, Amazon wants to start delivering its Prime subscription holders. So writes the British newspaper The Telegraph.

Amazon Prime is a subscription service through which consumers no longer have to pay shipping costs for their orders. Amazon brought the Prime service to Europe several years ago. Consumers in Britain, France, Germany and Italy can take out the service from Amazon. In these countries, the etail giant plans to open distribution centres.

With DCs on the outskirts of major cities, Amazon is close to consumers and may be able to introduce Prime Now. This service promises consumers that they will receive their products within the hour.
