French logistics service provider Staci Group is acquiring Moerdijk-based Base Logistics Group. The acquisition creates a company with a turnover of over 450 million euros, of which 100 million euros come from Base Logistics.

The acquisition offers both parties an opportunity to 'make intensive use of each other's expertise and networks'. The newly formed group comprises a network of 60 warehouses in Europe and the United States, with a total area of about 660,000 square metres and a total of 2,500 employees.

The purchase gives Staci Group a firmer foothold in Europe and the United States. The fulfilment and logistics provider from France operates in a wide range of industries, including Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices & Healthcare, Automotive, Oil & Gas.

Base Logistics Group specialises in time- and mission-critical services for the high-tech and medical industry, operating in Europe and the US with subsidiaries Base Logistics, HealthLink and SLS. The company will continue to operate separately within Staci Group and retain its own company names. Robin Voet, CEO of Base Logistics Group, says: " We have created strong mutual synergies between the Base Logistics, HealthLink and SLS companies in recent years and we will continue this after the acquisition."
