Bakker Logistics will handle logistics for Big Bazar. The logistics provider is currently setting up a 25,000-square-metre warehouse in Tilburg for the retail formula.
The two parties signed a five-year agreement this week. With the cooperation, Big Bazar aims to further professionalise its supply chain and expand in the Benelux. For example, the chain recently announced thirty new shop locations.
Big Bazar's logistics activities currently take place at Blokker's distribution centre in Mijdrecht and at XPO in Veenendaal. In the first quarter of 2018, the logistics operations will be relocated to Tilburg. Department store chain Hudson's Bay will move into the Blokker DC in Mijdrecht.
