BLOM trainings wants to find out how drivers of internal transport equipment assess their work with a satisfaction survey. The internal transport equipment trainer hopes to improve the internal transport world with the national survey.

"Many issues are discussed at management level, but many problems take place on the shop floor," said Maarten Dullaert, commercial manager at BLOM trainings. According to Dullaert, it is therefore important that forklift truck drivers are given the opportunity to have their opinions heard. "That way we can map out exactly what drivers are up against."

Accidents with forklifts
Another aspect is safety. Some 1,700 forklift accidents occur every year, including 125 serious accidents and seven fatal ones. BLOM hopes to create some awareness already by training trainees. "But we don't really know what they are up against once they are back on the shop floor. With the study, we hope to give not only ourselves but also all companies in transport and logistics insight into what could be done better," Dullaert said.

Online questionnaire
The survey will be conducted online until 15 July. Drivers of internal transport equipment can complete the questionnaire online. These questions focus on safety in the warehouse, internal communication and procedures. You can participate in the survey via this link. The results will be published in September.
